Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Amanda McBee, LMFT (“the practice,” “I,” or “me”) handles information collected through this website, amandamcbee.com. It applies to the website only. Clinical records created during therapy are governed separately by HIPAA and California law and by the privacy practices you receive at the start of treatment.
Information collected through this site
If you use the contact form or email me, I receive the information you choose to send, which may include your name, email address, phone number, and a short description of what brings you to therapy. I ask that you not include sensitive health details, diagnoses, or medication information in that first message. The contact form sends your message to the practice's email account through Resend, an email delivery provider. The website does not intentionally store the form contents in its own database, but copies may remain in the email systems used to deliver and receive the message.
How that information is used
I use the information you send only to respond to your inquiry, schedule a consultation, and communicate with you about working together. I do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and I do not use it for advertising.
Protected health information
Email and web forms are not fully secure channels and are not appropriate for protected health information. Once we begin working together, we use secure, HIPAA-compliant tools for clinical communication and records, and you receive a separate Notice of Privacy Practices describing your rights regarding your health information.
Analytics and cookies
This site uses Vercel Analytics to understand general traffic patterns, such as which pages are visited and whether the consultation form was submitted successfully. This measurement is used to maintain and improve the website, not to build advertising profiles. Your browser may store standard cookies needed for the site to function. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
Service providers and third-party links
The website relies on service providers, including Vercel for website hosting, analytics, and bot protection through Vercel BotID, and Resend for contact-form email delivery. These providers process information as needed to provide those services. This site may also link to outside resources, such as a map provider or crisis services. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this policy does not cover them.
Your choices
You can ask me what information I have from your inquiry, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it, by emailing amanda@amandamcbee.com.
